A Message From Father Polednak...
Dear Parishioners and Friends,
Our ancestors had a deep abiding faith that not only sustained them, but also gave them great joy. These two factors inspired them to create a gathering place for their worship, learning, community building, and service. We are so fortunate to have a beautiful space in which our faith can find a home. A home is more than a house; it is a place of nourishment, rest, and sharing. At the present time, though, the house of God needs repairs.
As you are aware, the roof is in need of a major project to prevent further damage to the interior. The front façade needs attention before the bricks begin to deteriorate and the steps need to be redone before they shift more and can no longer be used. These are major projects as you will see inside.
Handicapped accessibility to the church and parking are needed. As properties become available, we will be purchasing them to augment our parking. It is envisioned that a new entrance in place of the present rectory garage will enable us to provide an ADA approved handicapped entrance and rest room, as well as to expand sacristy space.
With the approval of Bishop Bambera and our Finance Council, we are striving to raise gifts and pledges over a three year period to fund these projects. The goal to underwrite these endeavors is $700,000, of which we are pledging $200,000 of current funds. We come to you for your support. Our ancestors made a great sacrifice of which we are the beneficiaries. It is my prayer that you will be inspired to sustain our church and build for the future.
Sincerely yours in Christ,
Rev. John V. Polednak, Pastor
